On December 6, we will offer Communion as part of the 11 AM Zoom Service
Virtual Communion Instructions
If it is safely possible, have a candle sitting on a table close-by. Those who have candles will light them together at the beginning of the sacrament service and extinguish them at the end.
Set apart your bread and wine or grape juice for use during the service. You may want to set them by the candle, if you have one. If you do not have grape juice or wine, consider using water which could symbolize the waters of our baptism.
During our communion celebration, at the words of institution, “On the night which Jesus was betrayed…”, we all will hold up each corresponding element. “He took the bread…” hold up the bread. “He took the cup…” hold up the cup.
Partake of the bread and the cup together with all those virtually gathered and as you would during worship at church: reverently, giving thanks to God for Christ’s act of love on the cross and God’s grace and mercy.
Those who are unable to obtain the elements or a candle are still welcome to join us in prayer and personal reflection.
8:30 a.m. In-Person Worship
This service will offer worshipers the opportunity to gather as a community in prayer and reflection, and familiar hymns. The same scripture and sermon presented in the 11 AM service will be presented at the 8:30 service, but without singing or the sacrament of communion.
9:30a.m.Christian Education Hour
Preschool, Elementary, Youth and Adult classes.
11:00 a.m. Zoom Worship (also on Facebook)
Join us as we worship the living God through liturgy, music, preaching and sacraments. On many Sundays we will also enjoy vocal music as part of the worship service shown via Zoom and Facebook.
Our mission and ministry flows out of our worship. Each Sunday, we gather to worship with reverence, relevance, openness, and joy. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month and other feast days and special occasions. All baptized persons are welcome at the Lord’s Table.
Music is an important part of our worship. During the pandemic, we will have vocal music for our Zoom services but will not be able to do so during our in-person services.
CHILDREN’S WORSHIP AND GATHERING – 10:30 a.m.
Children and families, join us at 10:30 a.m. for a time of singing, stories, prayer and connecting with each other that is made especially for our elementary school and preschool families. We are trying to make it broad enough to connect with all of our younger kids. Hope you’ll join us!
