Congregational Care

The mission of the Congregational Care Ministry is to assist the pastor and church staff in ministering to the ongoing and ever changing needs of the members of our congregation.

Card Ministry: Get Well, Thinking of You, and Sympathy cards are sent to members of the church family.

The Cradle Cross Committee takes a cradle cross and a silk rose to families with newborn babies.

The Crisis Committee which provides meals when requested for families in crisis.

HOBS (Helping Our Brothers and Sisters) maintains a list of gently used health equipment to lend to congregants as needed.

The Homebound Communion Committee facilitates the provision of communion offered to members who are no longer able to attend worship services.

KIT (Keep in Touch) is a way of maintaining contact with our members who move away to be closer to family.

The Memorial Garden Committee maintains the memorial garden for use by church members, past and present, and their families. Memorial Receptions are provided for our deceased members upon request.

The Prayer Chain responds via email to the congregation’s many requests for prayer.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry knits prayer shawls for those who need comfort and for veterans at the VA Hospital. Baby blankets are also given to newborns. A dedication of prayer shawls is held each year.

The Visitation Committee keeps in personal contact with homebound members and those bereaved, ill, hospitalized, or in health care facilities.
