CONGREGATIONAL CARE MINISTRY
The mission of the Congregational Care Ministry is to assist the pastor and church staff in ministering to the ongoing and ever changing needs of the members of our congregation. This caregiving ministry is done through:
New “Faith Wednesday” The Congregational Care Ministry Team has designated each Wednesday as “Faith Wednesday”, a day to pray for the growth and future of our church. Please join us in prayer.
The Crisis Committee which provides meals when requested for families in crisis.
The Visitation Committee who keep in personal contact with homebound members and those bereaved, ill, hospitalized or in health care facilities.
The Prayer Chain responds to the congregation’s many requests for prayer.
The Cradle Cross Committee takes a cradle cross and a silk rose to families with newborn babies.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry knits prayer shawls to members of the congregation in crisis. A dedication of prayer shawls is made each year.
Emergency transportation is made available through the Transportation Committee.
HOBS (Helping Our Brothers and Sisters) maintains a list of gently used health equipment to lend to congregants as needed.
The Homebound Communion Committee facilitates the provision of communion offered to members who are no longer able to attend worship services.
KIT (Keep in Touch) is a way of maintaining contact with our members who move away to be closer to family.
Christmas Caroling is organized each year to visit members at home or nursing facilities.
